Mission: To provide the ethical, educational, and experiential foundation for inspiring the next generation of environmental stewards, and outdoor and active lifestyle enthusiasts.

Focus: The OARS Foundation was formed to introduce high school students, teachers and university undergraduates to wilderness venues and provide field based education focusing on sustainability and the benefits of being active in the outdoors. The curriculum will be centered on the systemic environmental, ethical, social, cultural and economic issues surrounding sustainable development and natural resource management while promoting the physical, cognitive, and spiritual advantages those dynamic, outdoor based classes and activities offered.
